I recently learned that the parts of the black walnut that are used are the husks, inner bark, leaves, and nuts. The chemical and nutrient contents of the black walnuts are ellagic acid, juglone, and mucin. Black walnut is used to aid digestion and promotes healing of mouth and throat sores. It is so important to cleanse our bodies of parasites, which is a great way to drop some pounds, you know, lose that unwanted weight…cleaning the nasty gunk out of your system is important.
Black walnut is great for bruising, which for some reason I tend to get a lot of. If you ever run into fungal infection, herpes, poison ivy, or warts, black walnut is supposed to help with that as well. When you boil black walnuts, the hulls produce a dye that people can use for wool or other materials. Walnuts are a rich source of of many things. I didn’t know this but black walnuts have large amounts of magnesium and potassium. Not only that, they contain great Omega-3′s and Omega 6′s fatty acids that are really beneficial for our health.
