They say that when you are trying to stop doing something, for example, eating junk food, you need to replace the bad habit with something. When I get stressed out I find myself in front of the refrigerator. Or, I go to the pantry looking for something sweet, like cookies or candy. What I’ve found is that the easiest way to not eat the junk food is to not buy it and bring it into the house.
It’s funny how many times I’ll open the fridge door hoping that magically there will appear something fast and easy, tasty and sweet. I’ve decided to pack the fridge full of easy, healthy foods. Like carrot sticks, celery sticks or yogurt. It doesn’t take much time to cut up some fresh fruit or vegetables, wash them and have them ready to eat when I get hungry or bored.
