Ok, so you’re on a diet and you’re trying to follow said diet the best you can. Maybe you’re doing the Atkin’s diet, the Grapefruit diet, or the Jenny Craig diet. Whatever the diet, you find that you are wanting to eat sweets, chocolate, candy, cookies or cakes. Maybe you’re craving something salty and you are having a hard time not reaching for the bag of potato chips and scarfing down a handful or two.
Whenever I am on a diet, or even if I’m not, but am being health conscious, I make some popcorn. I’m not talking about the store bought, throw it in the microwave, bags of popcorn. I’m talking about popping some organic popcorn kernels in a pan with a little olive oil. Once popped I don’t add all of that butter. The olive oil flavors it just enough that a little salt is all it needs. I think the reason why people may shy away from popcorn while they are on a diet is because it’s covered in butter. And it is, if you buy those prepackaged popcorn bags. So the next time you want a tasty, healthy treat, pop your own corn and enjoy!
